Lazy Squirrel

It was unusually harm for a October day as a man went outside to start his grill up for some steaks it was sunny and unforgiving but he knew it was just the summer giving it one last try before going to sleep and giving into the cooler winds of the fall. The animals were foraging the leaves didn't know if they wanted to wilt and die, or turn to their glorious colors and simply fall from the tree, but the man knew if he didn't get the steaks done that he would be the one to wither and fall. So he poured his charcoal in and soaked them down with a good layer of lighter fluid and then he sat down to let the oil soak in the coals, he opened the beer in front of for what is grilling outside without a good beer, as he was sitting there waiting, he let his mind wonder a bit. He was seeing what else was warm on this day, the insects were flying about and the birds were singing although warm he thought to himself this was a pretty sight. Then he noticed a squirrel in the tree it had to be as lazy a thing that he had ever seen it was laid out on the branch as though it was laying on a bed of feathers, it's head was resting his feet hung from the sides his stomach was was laid all across the branch. "Your the laziest squirrel I've ever seen." The man laughed out loud but even his loudness couldn't distract the squirrel from its slumber. "You go right ahead I have steaks to cook, you lazy thing." The man finished his steaks and just before he went inside he looked at the limb again and saw the squirrel get up from its nap and start foraging again and then it hit the man, "I guess everything needs a break from their day to day, even squirrels."

Animals have enough sense to take a good long break from busy work loads, do the same, working too much can bring on too much stress and the stress of survival is hard enough, even though we are in a recession and bills are hard to pay ever so often it couldn't hurt to be like this squirell.
